Work Underway For New Support Center

Decatur – The window for opening a new client support center for a healthcare technology center is short.  So agencies assisting with the opening are already going to work.

On Monday, Florida based Convey Health Solutions announced it would locate in the old Star Tek calling Center in Fairview Plaza in Decatur eventually providing 300 to 500 jobs.  A job fair to hire people for those jobs will take place at Richland Community College next week, August 11th and 12th.  Convey hopes to have people hired by September 1st and have its operations start in mid-September.

“It’s so exciting that they’re choosing Decatur to expand their operations,” Robyn McCoy Director of Workforce Investment Solutions told WAND’s Doug Wolfe.  “We had a job fair a couple of weeks ago.  We had over 400 in attendance.  So we’re hoping that many and more attend.”

Job applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED.  During the job fair they should be professionally dressed, have a resume and be prepared for an interview.  Applicants will also have to pass a background check and take a drug test.

The job fair hours according to a flier distributed by Convey Health Solutions will be 9am – 2pm each day.
