Man Dead in Fatal Motorcycle-Car Collision

DANVILLE – The Vermilion County Coroner reports an area man was pronounced dead at the scene of a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and car on Friday, August 21.

This collision took place on Perrysville road, right by the entrance to the Lynch Fire Department. A driver was entering a private drive and turned in front of a motorcycle. This resulted in the death of the motorcycle rider. The status of the other driver is unknown as this time.

The motorcycle rider has been identified as 45-year-old Terry W. Davis, of Danville. He was pronounced dead at 7 PM.

This investigation is ongoing by the Vermilion County Coroner and the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department. We will release more information as it becomes available.
