SPRINGFIELD - Habitat for Humanity officials say they will celebrate the grand opening of the new Springfield ReStore with a ribbon cutting ceremony on August 29.

The ceremony will be held at the new ReStore, located at 2744 South 6th Street in Springfield, at 9:45 a.m.  After the ribbon cutting, Habitat officials say the celebration will continue throughout the day, with hourly drawings for prizes, activities for kids, never-before-seen merchandise, and much more.

The ReStore sells and accepts donations of household items such as furniture, appliances, lighting, and cabinets.  Donations are tax deductible, and the proceeds help Habitat build homes for families in need.  For more information, visit http://www.habitatsangamon.com/.
