Millikin assistant professor, graduate start new support group

DECATUR - A Millikin University assistant professor of education and a recent Millikin graduate have teamed up to form a support group for teachers and parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The support group, Not Forgotten, Inc., is based in Decatur, and was started by Rebekah Harrelson and Dr. Denice Love.  The group aims to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder by gathering parents and teachers together to create supportive resources.  Participants are scheduled to meet each month.

The first community meeting will be held on September 3, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in Shilling Hall at Millikin University.  For more information about this group, call (217) 358-8548 or email Notforgottenmaconcounty@gmail.com.
