2015 Farm Progress Show kicks off in Decatur this week

DECATUR - Agriculture enthusiasts from across the country are traveling to Decatur this week for the 62nd annual Farm Progress Show.

This year's Farm Progress Show will be held at 4275 East Mound Road, from September 1, 2, and 3.  Approximately 600 vendors will be in attendance to show visitors new farm equipment and technologies , such as tractors, combines, seed and crop protection products, livestock equipment and technologies, agricultural chemical products, and much more.  Additionally, field demonstrations will take place on each day of the show.

Farm Progress Show officials say visitors will be able to interact with the vendors, check out the new equipment and technologies, and gather information to make informed purchasing decisions.  Officials also say they estimate about 150,000 people from all 50 states and at least 50 countries to be in attendance.

The show will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on September 1 and 2, and 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on September 3.  Tickets to attend the show is $15 for adults, $8 for teens ages 13 through 17, and children 12 and under can attend for free.  For more information, visit http://farmprogressshow.com/main.aspx.
