CICBC encouraging Farm Progress Show attendees to donate blood

Posted: Updated:

DECATUR - Central Illinois Community Blood Center officials say Farm Progress Show attendees can help combat a seasonal blood shortage by donating throughout the event.

CICBC officials say visitors to the Farm Progress Show will be able to donate blood at 4275 East Mound Road, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., on September 1, 2, and 3.  Individuals who donate blood at this drive will have the chance to win a 2015 Jeep Patriot SUV.

Blood collected during these drives are distributed to dozens of hospitals throughout the Midwest, including Decatur Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. Mary's Hospital.  For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call (217) 241-7550.
