C.A.R.E.S. art exhibit opens in downtown Champaign

CHAMPAIGN - An annual art exhibit that features works created by survivors of sexual violence, as well as their supporters, is now on display in downtown Champaign.

R.A.C.E.S. officials say the "Healing Works" art exhibit will be open from September 2 until September 6 at 9 East University Avenue in Champaign.  The display is designed to give survivors the chance to use art to express themselves and heal while receiving support from the community.

Gallery hours for this year's exhibit are listed below:

- September 2, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
- September 3, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
- September 4, 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
- September 5, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- September 6, 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
