Memory Loss Library Opens in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN--Those dealing with dementia now have a place to go to learn more about coping with the disease.

Until now, those looking for a community-based resource to learn more about memory loss had to go to Bloomington or Kankakee.

But thanks to a grant, "Memory Connection," a dementia resource program offered by Family Service of Champaign County, was able to set up shop at the First United Methodist Church.

The library offers books, DVDs and other materials that aim to help those dealing with dementia directly and their families.

The memory loss resource library is open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
