Pope comes to America!

SPRINGFIELD - Catholics across America are excited for Pope Francis to be on United State's soil. It's the first time he's been to the U.S. Over 100 Springfield Diocese members took the trip to D-C Tuesday Morning including Bishop Paprocki  and the vicar general Father David. 

Marlene Mulford is the Communications Director of the Springfield Diocese. She says even if you aren't able to make the trip you can still play a part in the pope's visit. "one thing we are all doing is praying for his mission and praying for his safety safety" Mulford Says. 

Wednesday, the World Meeting of Families and the first canonization of a saint in America are two events many are excited to see. Blessed Junípero Serra will be the first saint canonized in the U.S.
