SPRINGFIELD - Illinois State Library officials say they will host the unveiling a traveling, interactive LGBT history exhibit on October 1.

Officials say "The Legacy Wall" will be revealed during a special event at the library Thursday morning.  According to Legacy Project Executive Director Victor Salvo, the wall is a "tribute to an aspect of shared human history that most people aren't aware exists."

The wall will feature information on several individuals, such as Astronaut Sally Ride, iconic artist Michelangelo, U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Jordan, and more.  After its reveal, the wall is scheduled to begin a 15-month tour of Illinois and cities in other states near Illinois.
