Applications being accepted for Micro-Grant Program

Posted: Updated:

EFFINGHAM – The Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is now accepting applications from non-profits located within its service area for the 2016 Nonprofit Capacity Building micro-grant program.

These micro-grants provide a maximum of $1,500 to defray the cost of professional development for staff and board members. This is done to improve the management, board participation, governance, fundraising and leadership of the applicant organization.

Organizations in Clark, Clay, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, Effingham, Fayette, Jasper, Lawrence, Richland and Shelby counties that are members of GoodWORKSConnect are eligible to apply.

The submission deadline is Tuesday, November 24, and awards will be announced in January 2016.

A more detailed list of requirements, as well as the online application, can be found here.

Those interested in learning more about the application process can contact Grants and Gift Coordinator Janeen Emory-Kolb by phone at 217-342-4988 or via email at jemorykolb@enrichingourcommunity.org.
