DECATUR – The Decatur Police Department made three impaired driving arrests in their recent Halloween Crackdown.

Sgt. Chris Peters says extra emphasis was given to the late-night hours when statistics show the most people drink and drive and the fewest wear seat belts. Sgt. Peters reports 3 drivers were arrested for DUI.

The Halloween weekend saw law enforcement agencies throughout the state taking part in the special focus to save lives. The "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and "Click it or Ticket” campaigns are funded by federal traffic safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
