French Police Involved in Shootout


PARIS - Paris officials say a woman blew herself up and at least five people have been arrested, after a raid on ISIS militants, early this morning.  French police were involved in a prolonged shootout in the northern Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, where a Belgian ISIS militant, suspected of masterminding the attacks was believed to be holed up.  Witnesses say the shooting began around 4:30 am, local time.  Police special forces of the raid unit, were still involved in exchanges of fire, three hours later. Three police officers and a passerby were injured in the assault. A coordinated series of bombings and shootings in Paris, last Friday killed 129 people. It's the worst atrocity in France, since World War II.  Investigators soon linked the attacks to a militant cell in Belgium, which was in contact with ISIS, in Syria.
