Macon County man arrested for making meth in grandmother's garage

DECATUR – A Decatur man admits to police he is addicted to meth and made the drug in a makeshift lab in his grandmother's garage.

According to a police report, the Macon County Sheriff's Office was tipped off to the meth lab at 24 Mahnke Drive in Decatur. The man’s grandmother granted officers the right to search the home Saturday. Officers found the meth making materials in the garage area and arrested 42-year old Joshua Soules.

Soules told police he is addicted to meth and made it for his personal use only as recently as three days earlier.

He posted bond over the weekend and is expected back in court January 8, 2016.
