Dinner-Theatre Raises Money for Pancreatic Cancer Research

Posted:

DECATUR– Dinner-theater is returning to Decatur, with “For the Love of It”, featuring local performers next weekend.  The cabaret dinner will be held at the Decatur Club ballroom, February 5th and 6th.

The show features local singers and actors, with proceeds going to pancreatic cancer research. They’ve been practicing for months and one performer says after his mother-in-law died from pancreatic cancer, he's been working hard to honor her. Keith Creighton says, "I think she'd be…I hope she'd be really proud. I hope that she would find this in honor to her memory. If we can instill that in the audience. A night where they reflect on what life and disease means as well as joy, the time that they have there, I think then we successfully honor her memory."

Tickets are $35.00. Be sure to reserve your tickets as soon as possible. Call the Decatur Club at (217) 429 - 4200
