USO of Illinois celebrates 75th Anniversary with Week of Activities

ILLINOIS – The USO of Illinois, which serves military and military families in the state, is celebrating its 75h Anniversary with multiple events throughout the year, beginning with a week long USO Week.

USO Week in Illinois takes place January 31 – February 6 and highlights several events that honor over 330,000 Active Duty, Guard and Reserve military and military families that benefit from the non-profit organization’s services. The organization provides over 300 programs and services year round that improve the lives of service members by raising morale through “unique recreational, education and cultural opportunities” and USO Center facilities.

The USO of Illinois has facilities at Midway Airport, Great Lakes Naval Station, O’Hare Terminal 2 and 3 and the Rock Island Arsenal, as well as their administrative office.

This week of celebration kicking off the yearlong anniversary activities will feature a variety of activities and programs to recognize the individuals the USO of Illinois serves.
