Downtown parking meters in Springfield not enforced on President's Day

Posted: Updated:

SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Office of Public Works has announced that certain parking meters will not be enforced during President's Day on February 15, 2016.

Public Works officials say downtown parking meters will not be enforced, and need not to be paid, during the holiday.  However, officials say parking illegally or in an unlawful area, such as a bus or loading zone, yellow curb, no parking area, or handicapped parking space will be enforced as usual.

For more information about parking on holidays, call the Office of Public Works at (217) 789-2255.
