Kidzeum benefiting from Bob Evans community fundraiser

Posted: Updated:

SPRINGFIELD – Bob Evans Restaurants in Springfield will be hosting a community fundraiser to benefit the Kidzeum of Health and Science starting February 12 and ending February 15.

The Kidzeum of Health and Science is being designed with a focus on fun and learning. WAND News reported in July that the future facility had received another donation toward its $6.8 million dollar goal. Its campaign has raised $6.17 million as of their latest press release.

The restaurants will donate 15% of sales to the Kidzeum when customers present a flier at the time of checkout. Fliers are available at Kidzeum’s Facebook page, as well as on the Kidzeum website.

Kidzeum has purchased the nationally registered, historic buildings at 412, 414 and 416 East Adams Street in downtown Springfield to use for their facilities. Once completed, its facility will feature 25,000 square feet of exhibit space over three floors.

Previous reports about exhibits that will be available at Kidzeum can be found here and here.

Participating restaurants include both Bob Evans restaurants located in Springfield, located at 3050 Stevenson Drive and 4221 Conestoga Drive. The fundraiser will begin at 6 AM on Friday, February 12, and end at 9 PM on Monday, February 15.

More information about the Kidzeum of Health and Science can be found here. Currently, the Kidzeum is slated to open sometime in 2016.
