SPRINGFIELD - The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is offering free admission to all guests on Lincoln's birthday, February 12.

The museum's usual admission of $15 for adults and $6 for children will be waived throughout the day.  Visitors will be able to view a handwritten copy of the Gettysburg Address, learn more about jobs Abraham Lincoln held before being elected president, and talk with historic interpreters.

ALPLM Acting Executive Director Nadine O'Leary says she wants "everyone to get a chance to learn about the nation's greatest president and be inspired by his example."  Additionally, ALPLM officials say the winning entries for this year's art contest will go on display on February 12.
