Decatur PD investigating W. Mound apartment burglary

DECATUR – Decatur Police responded to a residential burglary at an apartment complex late Saturday evening.

Officers got the call at around 10 PM on Saturday, February 13. They reported to an apartment complex at 1490 West Mound Road, where a neighbor had noticed the door of a nearby apartment had been kicked in.

According to authorities, the person who lives in the apartment was out of town. After contacting the apartment resident, police discovered a gun and a gaming system had been stolen from the apartment.

Decatur authorities do not have any suspects in this incident, and they continue to investigate this burglary. Anyone with information should contact the Decatur Police Department at 217-424-2711.
