Identity of man found dead in Vandalia February 13 released

VANDALIA - Fayette County authorities are releasing the identity of a man found dead in his driveway on February 13.

Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen says Vandalia police were dispatched to the scene at about 3:48 p.m.  Upon arriving, officers notified Bowen, who pronounced the man dead at the scene at 4:08 p.m.

The man was later identified at 62-year-old Joe Willms.  Bowen says preliminary autopsy results revealed that Willms died of natural causes.
