Former Illinois linebacker T.J. Neal has a new home, reportedly set to transfer to the University of Auburn to play his final year of football.
Neal announced his intent to transfer out of Illinois last month.
When first announced, an athletic department spokesman said Neal planned to transfer closer to home. He is from McKeeseport, Pennsylvania.
Instead, it appears, Neal is going to be even farther away from the Keystone State. He will be a graduate transfer, and eligible to start for the Tigers in 2016.
Neal was the Illinois' second-leading tackler in 2015 with 109 tackles, including 14 TFLs.
