Illinois Innocence Project hosting discussion of "Making a Murderer" documentary series


SPRINGFIELD - The Illinois Innocence Project at the University of Illinois - Springfield is inviting the public to attend a discussion of the documentary series "Making a Murderer" on February 24.

Officials say this event will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the UIS Public Affairs Center.  Illinois Innocence Project staff attorney Lauren Kaeseberg and UIS Associate Professor of Legal Studies Gwen Jordan will host a short presentation about the documentary, which follows the murder case of Steven Avery over a 10-year period.

After the presentation, audience members will be able to have their questions related to the documentary answered.  Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring a light lunch.
