DIRT confiscates money, drug paraphernalia during heroin investigation

SPRINGFIELD - Four grams of heroin, a stolen firearm, and approximately $24,000 were seized after the Sangamon County Drug Unit (DIRT) executed a search warrant.

D.I.R.T, also known as the Drug Interdiction Response Team,  obtained the warrant during an ongoing heroin investigation.

D.I.R.T located the items at an address in the 200 block of Magnolia in Springfield. D.I.R.T also located a number of heroin drug packaging and cutting agents during the search.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
