Climb The Stairs And Fight For Air

Springfield, IL - The American Lung Association welcomed climbers back to Springfield for the annual Fight For Air Climb.

Participants climbed 32 floors of stairs at the Wyndham, formerly known as The Hilton, to raise money for the organization. That's a total of 532 stairs.

According to Director of Special Events Shannon Mathis, the record for the quickest time for the climb was two minutes and twelve seconds.

You should be reaching for the oxygen tank about now.

She also mentioned that the record amount of climbs by an individual was thirteen in one hour.

Ambulances and first aid were standing by, but no injuries were reported. Participants had to raise the entry fee before hoofing it up the Hilton.
