U of I Students Hack Illinois

Posted: Updated:

CHAMPAIGN - Hacking is not usually something companies want to have happen, but over the weekend students at the University of Illinois were encouraged to do just that.

For 36-hours they worked on software and hardware for programming companies.

Sponsors and companies nationwide offered programs and systems to be re-booted and hacked, with help from computer engineering students.

This is the third year for Hack Illinois.  Each year more sponsors become interested and invested in the event.
