Deficit Dilemma topic of discussion at Tuesday's Decatur School Board Meeting
DECATUR- Another round of budget cuts for DPS 61.
At Tuesday’s school board meeting, school administration will have to make difficult decisions that include $3.8 million dollars in budget cuts and recommendations.
WAND News spoke to Todd Covault, COO of DPS 61, and he mentions that the district is trying to make as sophisticated estimations as possible. The lack of a state budget has led to nearly $4 million cuts for the district, which are items the Board of Education will vote on at tonight's meeting.
