Hy-Vee issues voluntary recall

ILLINOIS - Hy-Vee, Inc. officials say they are voluntarily recalling hundreds of packages of macadamia nuts due to a potential Salmonella contamination.

Hy-Vee officials say they were notified of the potential contamination by the product's supplier, who initiated the recall after finding Salmonella during routine product sampling.  The product affected by the recall was distributed to Hy-Vee stores in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin from July 2, 2015 until February 3, 2016.

The packaging contains the following information:

UPC:  0 75450 13287 8
Best By:  10 JUL 2016
