CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- A strong winter storm has left central Illinois under several inches of snow after whiteout conditions Wednesday morning and afternoon.

As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, here are the latest snowfall reports from viewers and the National Weather Service:

  • Decatur (WAND): 5.0"
  • LeRoy: 5.0"
  • Homer: 4.9"
  • Findlay: 4.5"
  • Clinton: 4.3"
  • Pana: 4.3"
  • Bloomington: 3.3"
  • Kincaid: 3.1"
  • Taylorville: 3.0"
  • Effingham: 2.9"
  • Ogden: 2.7"
  • Springfield: 2.6"

StormCenter17 Meteorologist Adam Del Rosso says strong winds have been plaguing the area as well. As of 3 p.m. Wednesday, here are the strongest wind gust reports from various weather stations in central Illinois:

  • Champaign: 57 mph
  • Lerna: 55 mph
  • Decatur: 48 mph
  • Savoy: 45 mph
  • Bloomington: 43 mph
  • Lincoln: 38 mph
  • Springfield: 38 mph
  • Rantoul: 37 mph
  • Jacksonville: 37 mph
