Gusty winds will continue into Thursday morning

Central Illinois- The blizzard warning and winter storm warning were allowed to expire at 9 PM this evening. The National Weather Service office in Lincoln and Chicago have issued Winter Weather Advisories for east central Illinois that will continue into early Thursday morning. 

Chief Meteorologist JC Fultz says snow will taper off after midnight, but with wind gusts of 30 to 35 mph, blowing and drifting snow will continue into the early morning. Fultz also says roadways that are slushy tonight could refreeze as temperatures drop. Allow extra time for the morning commute!

Winter Weather Advisory: Champaign, Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar and Vermilion until 3 AM

Winter Weather Advisory: Ford and Iroquois until 4 AM.
