DECATUR -- The Macon County Sheriff's Department says a jury duty scam is targeting people in the community.

Deputies say the caller is a man using several names, saying he's from the Sheriff's Office. He's telling people they missed jury duty, and need to get Green Dot cards to pay off the fine or face arrests.

Call the Macon County Elder Abuse Hotline if you have received one of these calls: (217) 615-7582.
