Residents in Kincaid Hopeful for Relief

Posted:

KINCAID- One of the hardest hit areas in Central Illinois after the winter flood where residents have been  homeless could finally see some financial help.

Monday night, there will be a community meeting at the Kincaid Methodist Church to discuss money that has been raised from community and outside sources. The big question how will this money get allocated? Residents have been living with family and in temporary homes after several lost everything they had in the flood.

The last meeting Kincaid had, many residents voiced frustrations with not having any flood insurance and some even mentioned they were told it wasn't even "required".

Stay with WAND news at 6 and 10 Monday evening for the latest in this update and the much needed relief that could be heading to the families in Kincaid, Il.
