Storm Spotter Training in Clinton This Evening

CLINTON – The DeWitt County EMA is hosting a storm spotter class at the DeWitt County building this evening.

The class will start at 6:30 PM and last about 2 to 2.5 hours. A meteorologist from the National Weather Service office in Lincoln will be conducting the training. The spotter training class is designed for people new to severe storm spotting, as well as those that need refresher training. The training is comprised of all of the information that spotters need to be effective and stay safe.

The National Weather Service says storm spotter are a vital part of the warning process.
