Dennis Lab School raising funds through 5K Habitat Haul

DECATUR – Dennis Lab’s Middle School Project Based Learning group is raising money for Habitat for Humanity through a 5K.

Students aim to raise $30,000 to help build a home through Habitat for Humanity. They are collaborating with the organization to find a family and move them into a new home for the coming school year.

It costs $25 to register and participate in the race, which will take place on April 23 at Fairview Park. Those registering can do so on the 5K’s page on

Race packets can be picked up on Friday, April 22 at Fleet Feet in Decatur from 4 PM to 7 PM. Those picking up their packets on the day of the race can do that beginning at 7 AM. The race will follow at 8 AM.

Race officials say in order to receive a t-shirt, participants must register by April 11.
