It's not too late to register to vote

DECATUR - There is a new "hot button search" for voter status now on the main page of the Macon County Website. The tool is designed to give voters quick access to information about whether they are registered to vote, their polling locations, and which governmental districts and units in which they reside.

If you're not registered to vote or have moved, you can still register to vote and vote between now through Election Day.

Here are the times the Macon County Clerk's Office is open:

March 1 to 4  8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Saturday/Sunday March 5 and 6:   9 AM to 4 PM

March 7 to 11  8:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Saturday/Sunday March 12-13  9 AM to 4 PM

March 14  8:30 AM to 7 PM

The Macon County Clerk's office is located in Macon County Office Building, 141 S. Main Street, Room 104, Decatur. Phone numbers are 424-1333 or 424-1309.

If you are registering to vote, please bring two forms of ID and one must have your current address on it.

Examples include: Driver’s License, State ID, a bill with your current address, credit card, lease, or library card.

You may also register and vote at your proper polling place of County Clerk’s Office on Election Day.

Illinois will conduct its Primary Election on March 15. Early voting is underway.
