UIS Students hosting Dance Marathon to raise money for Children's Miracle Network
SPRINGFIELD - University of Illinois - Springfield officials say students will host a Dance Marathon on March 4 to help raise money for the Children's Miracle Network.
The marathon will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. at The Recreation and Athletic Center on the University's campus. The public is invited to participate in this event, and can sign up as an individual or as part of a group.
The marathon will feature a DJ, a variety of performances by different organizations, and food of varying themes, like "Hollywood" and "Around the World."
Participants will need to pay a $5 registration fee, and are asked to raise at least $20 by March 4. All proceeds will benefit the Children's Miracle Network at HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital.
