Clark-Lindsey residents auction art to benefit Swann Special Care Center

CHAMPAIGN COUNTY – Residents of Clark-Lindsey’s Meadowbrook Health Center put their works of art on display to benefit the Swann Special Care Center.

A group of elders from the health center composed a large body of artwork for use in a silent art auction. More than $700 in funds were raised for the Swann Special Care Center.

Swann Special Care Center is a non-profit organization in Champaign that provides care for persons with severe and profound intellectual disabilities through their resident nursing care program, adult day training program and their accredited nonpublic school.

Clark-Lindsey Village is the area’s first and only continuing care retirement community (CCRC), or Life Plan Community.

Center officials say staff members and residents are thrilled that the proceeds of the auction are being used for a good cause. They were also proud to have their work be displayed in recipients’ homes.

A representative from Swann will be attending a check awarding ceremony at Clark-Lindsey’s facility on Friday, March 4, at 3 PM.
