Later sunsets are on the way as daylight saving time is set to start next weekend.
At 2 a.m. Sunday, March 13, clocks will "spring forward" one hour launching the start of DST. This will shift our sunrise and sunset times by one hour as well.
Saturday night is not only a good time to change all clocks around the house, it is also a good time to replace the batteries in all smoke detectors, carbon monoxide (CO) detectors and NOAA weather radios.
This year, daylight saving time will last until November 6.
