Storm Spotter Class Coming to McLean County

Posted:

The next Severe Weather Spotter Training class in the WAND-TV viewing area will be held on Thursday, March 10, in McLean County. It will take place from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Heartland Community College in Normal inside the Astroth Community Education Center - Room 2400.

Storm spotters play a vital role during severe weather events by simply relying ground truth information to the National Weather Service. Participants will receive their certification after completing the free 2 ½ hour class which details what type of events the National Weather Service looks for during severe weather.
