SPRINGFIELD – Officer Mike Badger, with Crime Stoppers of Sangamon and Menard Counties, says the organization is bringing a 2015 homicide back to the public’s attention as they look for new information to solve this crime.

The homicide happened on May 10, 2015, just outside the Capitol City Elks Club at Martin Luther King and Brown Street. Neon Bryant was leaving the club when he was ambushed by a lone gunman. Authorities say they are looking for tips to identify the perpetrator and hold that person responsible for taking Bryant’s life.

Badger says anyone who supplies a tip that leads to the identity and arrest of the person who committed this crime will receive $1,000 from Crime Stoppers. That reward will be paid in cash.

Reporting a tip to Crime Stoppers is completely anonymous, and they will never need to know the name of the informant.

Those wishing to submit a tip can do so by calling Crime Stoppers at 788-8427, texting a tip or leaving a tip online at the Crime Stoppers website.
