Springfield Police investigating string of armed robberies

SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in its investigation into a series of recent armed robberies at Dollar General stores.

Springfield police say the robberies took place at the following locations:

- February 23, 8:24 p.m.: 2000 block of North Grand Avenue East
- February 25, 10:42 a.m.: 1200 block of Knoll Point
- March 3, 2:26 p.m.: 100 block of North Grand West

Police say the suspect or suspects in these robberies have displayed a handgun, threatened clerks, and left with an undisclosed amount of money in each case.  The suspect or suspects are described as a black male(s), standing between 5'9" and 6'0" tall with a thin build, and has a goatee with graying hair in it.  Clothing in each of the robberies were varied.
