Decatur man sentenced to 60 years in prison

DECATUR - A Decatur man who was found guilty of first-degree murder has been sentenced to 60 years in prison.

Authorities say Rickie Kendricks, 28, received the six-decade prison sentence earlier this week for the 2012 murder of Isaiah Wiley.  Police say Wiley was a key witness to an earlier double murder case.

Decatur police say Wiley was found lying down in the street on December 9, 2012.  He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.  Kendricks was arrested in connection with Wiley's death in July 2013, and was formally charged with first-degree murder in August 2013.
