CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- Several communities across central Illinois will be celebrating Irish heritage with parades on Saturday, the weekend before St. Patrick's Day.
Decatur will be hosting its annual parade starting at 11 a.m. while Springfield's 32nd annual parade kicks off at 12 p.m.
The parade in Springfield starts on Jefferson & 6th heading west to 5th, turns south on 5th to Capitol, then north on 6th to the reviewing stand, before turning onto Washington and heading east back to the beginning. This year's Grand Marshal is the Langfelder Family.
Unfortunately, the luck of the Irish will not be with the forecast as scattered showers are expected to move in by the afternoon.
