Sherman Elementary School students raise over $8,000 for children's hospital
SHERMAN - HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital officials say they will receive a donation of more than $8,000 through a fundraiser created by a local "The Biggest Loser" finalist.
Officials say they will receive the donation on March 11 at Sherman Elementary School. The money was raised by Sherman Elementary School students through Sherman Jump, a jump-rope-themed fundraiser created by "The Biggest Loser" finalist and physical education teacher Sonya Jones.
More than 500 students participated in Sherman Jump last month. For more information about HSHS St. John's Children's Hospital, click here.
