INDIANAPOLIS -- In a rematch of a January win for Illinois, the Illini were no match for the Purdue Boilermakers Friday.
In the third round of the Big Ten tournament, Purdue crushed Illinois 89-58, ending Illinois' season.
Purdue reserve center Isaac Haas scored 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting.
Vince Edwards added 14 points, Caleb Swanigan had 11 points and 12 rebounds and Dakota Mathias added 11 for Purdue (25-7), which shot 58.3 percent.
Three Illini finished in double-figures scoring, including 17 points from Malcolm Hill, 16 points from Maolcolm Hill, and 13 from Kendrick Nunn.
Illinois (15-19) beat Purdue by 14 in January, but were undone Friday thanks, in part, to Purdue's 34-22 advantage on points in the paint, and 48% 3PT shooting.
Purdue is trying to win its first Big Ten Tournament title since 2009, the only time the Boilermakers won the event.
