Decatur/Tuscola- The National Weather Service will be conducting a spotter training course next week in Decatur. The course will be held on Wednesday, March 16th from 6:30 PM until 9 PM at the Shilling Auditorium, on the campus of Richland Community College. The class is free and open to the public!
If you can't make that class another one will be offered Thursday, March 17th from 6:30 PM until 9 PM in Tuscola at the USDA Service Center.
Spotter networks are a great resource for relaying ground truth information back to the National Weather Service. That information is used to help issue warning and confirm what is happening in a particular storm.
