ILLINOIS - The Illinois Department of Public Health has partnered with Loyola University Chicago to release an updated version of a guide designed to help child care facilities plan for emergencies and disasters.

IDPH officials say the Emergency Preparedness Guide for Child Care Centers and Child Care Homes explains different phases of emergency preparedness, and helps provide tools to create a plan.  Topics that are covered include illness or injury, extreme weather, potentially violent situations, terrorism, and much more.

The guide can be found by clicking on this link.  For more information about services offered by the Illinois Department of Public Health, click here.
