Early Primary Voting Hits Record In Macon County


Decatur – Pre-Election primary voting in Macon County is at record levels.

As of Monday morning 2,100 ballots had been cast.  The previous primary record in the county was 2008 when 1,700 ballots were dropped into ballot boxes.

Macon County Clerk Steve Bean says polls on Tuesday will be open from 6am – 7pm.

You do not need an ID to vote in Illinois.  If you would like to register tomorrow you can.  To register you can contact the county clerk’s office to determine which poll you should vote at.  You can register at that polling location.  However, you will need two forms of ID to register.

Races on the ballot include presidential primaries and county offices.
