Polls Open in Central Illinois

DECATUR, IL - Polls are open across Central Illinois.

At Maranatha Assembly of God, poll workers tell WAND News that they had more than 100 voters by 6:00a.m.

Four of them were first time voters.

Here’s a breakdown of the voting process:

When you walk in your polling location, you sign in – or sign up to vote. If you’re a new voter, you will need at least two forms of identification, with one of those containing a photo. A driver’s license or passport is considered valid.

You will then be checked in through an online database. After that, you will receive your ballot and can cast a vote. Without a long line the process usually takes about five to ten minutes.
