EFFINGHAM, IL – HSHS Home Care and Hospice Southern Illinois, Dan Hecht Chevrolet Toyota, Roy Schmitt Honda, and Northside Ford recently teamed up to “Cram the Car” with non-perishable food items for the Catholic Charities food pantry.
The food drive collected 2,711 pounds. That food, filled four Home Care cars of food for the Catholic Charities Food Pantry.
“Thanks to the generous contributions of our HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital colleagues and community members, this second annual ‘Cram the Car for Catholic Charities’ food drive was a success,” said Kelley Esker, HSHS Home Care and Hospice Marketing Specialist. “The food we were able to collect was much appreciated by Catholic Charities and will be used to help families in our area.”
